About alkaline water
What is alkaline water? +
Alkaline water has a pH above 7, meaning it's less acidic than regular tap water. Pure Alkaline is bottled at pH 9.0 — slightly basic, smooth on the palate, and rich with naturally occurring minerals that contribute to the higher pH.
What does pH 9.0 actually mean? +
The pH scale runs from 0 (very acidic) to 14 (very alkaline). 7 is neutral. Tap water typically sits at 7.0–7.5, soft drinks land near 3.5, and Pure Alkaline measures 9.0 — about a hundred times more alkaline than neutral water.
Are there benefits to drinking alkaline water? +
Many of our customers report better-tasting water, easier hydration, and reduced acidity from sports drinks or coffee throughout the day. We don't make medical claims — your body has its own powerful pH-regulation system. We focus on quality, taste, and convenience.
Is it safe for daily drinking? +
Absolutely. Pure Alkaline is intended for daily consumption by adults and children. If you have a specific medical condition or take prescription medications, it's worth a quick chat with your physician — but for nearly everyone, it's just smoother, cleaner water.
Our water
Where does your water come from? +
Our source is a local South Florida aquifer, drawn close to where we deliver. From there it goes through multi-stage ultra-fine micron filtration that removes contaminants while preserving the natural mineral content responsible for the 9.0 pH.
What minerals does it contain? +
Calcium, magnesium and potassium occur naturally in the source water and remain after filtration. We don't add electrolytes after the fact — the mineral balance is the source itself.
Are the bottles BPA-free? +
Yes. All our 5-gallon bottles are food-grade, BPA-free PET — fully recyclable, sanitized to commercial standards before every refill, and rotated frequently to ensure freshness. We upgraded from older polycarbonate bottles specifically because PET can be recycled at end-of-life and polycarbonate cannot.
How is it different from filtered tap water? +
Most home filters reduce some impurities but don't materially change pH. Some "alkaline" filters add minerals back artificially. Pure Alkaline is naturally alkaline at the source — we don't manufacture the pH, we preserve it.
Drinking & taste
What does Pure Alkaline taste like? +
Smooth, with a faint sweetness from the natural minerals. Most customers say it's noticeably easier to drink in large quantities than tap or distilled water — which is the whole point.
Can I cook with it? +
Yes — many of our customers use it for coffee, tea, soups, and baby formula (when their pediatrician approves). It's also excellent for cooking rice or pasta.
How much should I drink per day? +
There's no special rule for alkaline water — drink what you normally would. Most adults benefit from around 2–3 liters a day in our Florida climate. Listen to your thirst.
